Christmas is a time that allows many adults to relive their childhood memories, and what better way to experience those good old days again than by watching Main Street Theater’s “A Charlie Brown Christmas” in Houston this year? If you want to relive this classic holiday tale, then make sure you visit Main Street Theater’s Youth Theater presentation of “A Charlie Brown Christmas,” running from December 21st to December 26th at MATCH in Houston.
A Holiday Classic
The famous story, based on Charles Schultz’s classic Christmas special, gives us the story of Charlie Brown’s depressed mood during the holiday season. Charlie Brown feels that people have forgotten the true meaning of Christmas, and that Christmas has become overly commercialized. His frustration leads him to consult Lucy, and after talking with her, he decides he wants to direct the Christmas pageant. The story is filled with all of your favorited Peanuts characters, including Linus, Snoopy, and the entire Peanuts gang.
Performances
Main Street Theater’s presentation of “A Charlie Brown Christmas” is made to warm the hearts of both adults and children, and the theater itself will be fully accessible to children. However, children must be older than the age of three, so you can’t bring a child that is under this age. So, you can make your theater experience a family event, if you attend one of the two child accessible performances:
- Sensory-Friendly Performance. Saturday, December 2 at 2:00pm
- Audio Described Performance. Saturday, December 9 at 11:00am
Other performances will also be held, including the following:
- Tuesday – Wednesday at 11am and 2pm
- November 21 – 22, 2017
- Friday at 11am and 2pm
- November 24, 2017
- Saturdays at 11am and 2pm
- November 25; and
- December 2, 9 & 16, 2017
